Most of us are familiar with the history of the resurrection, we don't all know the theology. We know the what, where and when. What we sometimes overlook is the why. In Part 2 of Why Easter, we are going to focus on why the resurrection was necessary to accomplish God's plan to save us.

We all know THAT Jesus died. But we don't often talk about the reason why. What did we gain from Jesus death? What was accomplished in that moment? What difference does it make in my life? That is the focus for part 1 of Why Easter?

Every time we pray for a job, or to sell a house, or for the sale to go through or for a check in the mail we are inviting God to participate in our finances. Yet for many of us we exclude God from our finances through the decision to disobey his command to put his kingdom first. God says there is a way to open the door to his blessing and a way to close it. Which means we have a decision to make to invite the divine in our financial situation.

What drives out national obsession with debt? Discontentment. It is the feeling that what I have isn't good enough. What would happen if we trusted that God actually provided what we need when we need it? What if we trusted that he actually gave us all we need? What if we could actually be content with what we have been given?
