We are not in this alone. We strive to do life with people who help us look more and more like every day, week, month, and year. We know that when we struggle through trials of many kinds, we often need people to lean in to, so we intentionally foster life-changing relationships around us.

There is a reason they call Matthew 28:19-20 the “Great” commission… True disciples of Jesus multiply. We live lives on mission for Jesus by reaching into our communities (workplaces, sports teams, book clubs, etc.) and making more and better disciples.Let’s lean heavily into the “Everyone knows someone who needs to know Jesus” concept. We should have a real sense of urgency around helping our One develop a relationship with Jesus.

PCC is a church that values obedience and surrendered living. Each week our hope is to bring just as much application (if not more) as we do information. We believe that true disciples of Jesus are obedient to his commands and drive our church to do just that. In a world where children were often considered second class…Jesus made them the preeminent example of what everyone in the kingdom should be like. Jesus not only rebuked the ones we put in stained glass…but the text says he was indignant. Jesus didn’t just come for the wise and the powerful, and wealthy…he came for the children. And for him it was personal. So he took them in his arms. And he laid his hands on them…and he blessed them. And invites us to be just like them.

This may be the most personal encounter of all. Jesus was anointed by a sinful woman in the house of a Pharisee. Jesus let her touch him. Even though she was sinful. And Jesus saw her. In this encounter, Jesus connects with 2 females whose stories are linked by the timeframe of 12 years. Yet for one, the 12 years is a very short time and for the other, it is a very long time. As Jesus set off to heal a sick (soon dead) girl…he unwittingly heals a sick woman.But again, for Jesus, it is personal. He needed to know who touched him. It's Personal -This week we truly see Jesus focusing on one person…not the many. He takes the man aside, away from the crowd. He gives this man his undivided attention.
