PCC and its leadership are passionate about teaching the bible. It’s part of our DNA, and it’s what we do best. We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired by God, without error, given to man so that we may know and understand the truth of God and His love.

On the outskirts of Nain, a crowd marked by life intersects a crowd marked by death. And when Jesus saw a mourning mother for him, it became personal. His heart went out to her. And he brought her son back to life.This story is a great reminder not just of what Jesus has done but what he will do. In a world where children were often considered second class…Jesus made them the preeminent example of what everyone in the kingdom should be like. Jesus not only rebuked the ones we put in stained glass…but the text says he was indignant. Jesus didn’t just come for the wise and the powerful, and wealthy…he came for the children. And for him it was personal. So he took them in his arms. And he laid his hands on them…and he blessed them. And invites us to be just like them.

This may be the most personal encounter of all. Jesus was anointed by a sinful woman in the house of a Pharisee. Jesus let her touch him. Even though she was sinful. And Jesus saw her. In this encounter, Jesus connects with 2 females whose stories are linked by the timeframe of 12 years. Yet for one, the 12 years is a very short time and for the other, it is a very long time. As Jesus set off to heal a sick (soon dead) girl…he unwittingly heals a sick woman.But again, for Jesus, it is personal. He needed to know who touched him. It's Personal -This week we truly see Jesus focusing on one person…not the many. He takes the man aside, away from the crowd. He gives this man his undivided attention.
