[Week 25] More Than Conquerers
February 5, 2023
Who can be against the people of God? Lots of people. We have an enemy who is against us every day, and we are at war with sin and flesh everyday. The question really isn’t who can be against us, the question is who can defeat the people of God? And the answer to that is no one or nothing! We are more than conquerers through Jesus!
[Week 24] God Works For The Good
January 29, 2023
Suffering in this life is inevitable. Does that mean God is powerless, absent, or angry? Not at all. God is sovereign, and no matter what suffering we endure or why we endure it, God is great enough to use it for good. Although this isn’t a promise for everyone. It is a promise made for those who love him.
[Week 23] Suffering Before Glory
January 22, 2023
Everyone wants to live forever like Jesus, but not everyone wants to suffer like Jesus. But what will you do when you learn that you can’t have one without the other? Suffering isn’t optional for anyone, not even the children of God. But, for the children of God, it is temporary. And no matter how bad the suffering gets, it does not compare to the glory to come.
[Week 22] Spirit Equals Sonship
January 15, 2023
Does the Spirit of God live in you? If you are a child of God, He does! The Spirit of God is what
makes you a child of God! But there is a war going on within each of the children of God. A war
between the desires of the flesh and the desires of the Spirit. The flesh is urging us to obey it,
and the Spirit is inviting us to obey Him. And which of those you are fighting for will determine
whether you live or die.
[Week 21] No condemnation!
January 8, 2023
No one gets excited about being let off the hook if they never felt like they were on the hook, to begin with. Romans 8 is the pinnacle of the book of Romans. And it begins with the declaration that we have been let off the hook for all our sins in Christ Jesus. It is a reality worth celebrating.

[Week 20] Did the Holy Law make me unholy?
December 18, 2022
If the law was good, why does it make people bad? The answer is, it doesn’t. The law doesn’t make people bad, it simply reveals that people are bad. The law shows us what we should be and helps us realize we aren’t. And the issue isn’t that we don’t want to be good, but that we can’t. We can’t live up to the standard of the Law, we need a savior.
[Week 19] We are Widows
December 11, 2022
At one time, we were all married to the law. Meaning we were obligated to serve it. And marriage is a sacrament that binds two people together as long as they both are alive. But thanks be to God, through Christ’s death, we died. And now we are no longer married to the law but free to marry another and serve him.
[Week 18] Pick Your Slavery
December 4, 2022
You are a slave to whatever you obey. Everyone is a slave to something. In this text, Paul gives us the option, become a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness. There isn’t an option to not be a slave, you will be a slave to something. You can be a slave to that which pays off in death, or that which brings the gift of eternal life.
