Cultural Expectations:

At QuadCity, our staff culture is defined by a commitment to humility, unity, and Christlike character. We seek to be a team that honors one another, communicates with clarity, and works through conflict with honesty and grace. We take ownership for our work and hold ourselves accountable to high standards, remembering that we work as unto the Lord. We pursue excellence, remain eager to grow, and approach every task with a servant’s heart, knowing that our mission is to make more and better disciples of Jesus. We support one another, protect the culture, and stay flexible so that ministry can move forward with strength and joy. We choose responsibility rather than excuse making, courage rather than avoidance, and integrity rather than convenience. In all things, we depend on prayer, the power of the Spirit, and the supremacy of Jesus to guide our attitudes, actions, and relationships.

QuadCity Non-negotiables:

All staff members at QuadCity are expected to uphold the following standards regardless of role or department. These expectations support our mission, strengthen our culture, and ensure that we serve our church with excellence.

Office Hours: Full time staff are expected to work Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm in the office unless otherwise approved by their supervisor. While we recognize that ministry is not done exclusively within an office and many responsibilities require time off site, staff are expected to be present in the office whenever appropriate for collaboration, accessibility, and team unity.

Responsiveness: We respond to all emails within twenty four hours and return all phone calls within twenty four hours in order to serve people well and maintain trust.

Spiritual Growth: Every staff member is responsible for their own ongoing spiritual formation. We will encourage and support your walk with Jesus, but we will not pay you to be a passionate Jesus follower. Your personal pursuit of Christ is essential to your ministry and it cannot and should not be based upon your position as a ministry leader. As such, all employees are expected to be in either a discipleship group or involved in one-on-one discipleship.

Professionalism: We carry ourselves with integrity, humility, and excellence in every environment. This includes communication, preparation, timeliness, follow through, and the stewardship of resources.

Ministry Engagement: All staff should expect to spend time meeting with people, discipling, caring, equipping, and shepherding as needed. Ministry is relational at every level and each staff member participates in the pastoral work of the church. Our High-Five is Caring for the Weak, The Sick, Binding Up the Injured, Bringing Back the Strays, and Searching for the Lost (Ezekiel 34).

Volunteer Recruitment: At QuadCity, ministry is strengthened through volunteers. Each staff member is expected to invite people into serving, build ministry teams, and invest in developing leaders who can share the work of ministry. Recruitment is not an optional task. It is a core responsibility of every role because we believe disciples are formed as they step into using their gifts for the Kingdom. Therefore, each staff member is expected to spend 10% of their 40 paid hours on Volunteer Recruitment.

Weekend Presence: Sunday is a work day. Staff are expected to be present, engaged, and serving on Sundays. This includes visibility, relational connection, problem solving, and supporting all ministry environments.

Staff Meetings and All Team Gatherings: Attendance at weekly staff meetings, monthly All-Staff, department meetings, planning meetings, and all church wide events unless previously approved.

Campus Support and Flexibility: Willingness to serve across campuses, fill gaps, and support special events or seasonal demands as needed.

Budget Stewardship: Responsible use of church resources, staying within approved budgets, and following financial processes.

Kingdom Investment: Every leader is expected to be invested in the work of the Kingdom through QuadCity. We don’t ask people to do anything we aren’t doing. The floor is 10%, this is not a suggestion this is a requirement.
